Madiba2Go Seat

The award-winning Madiba2Go Seat is a modular full body seating system specifically designed for children with low tone who need more postural support than a traditional wheelchair or stroller can offer. Ideal for ages 6 months and up, easily accommodating young and growing bodies, the light weight seat can be fully adjusted in back height, seat length, trunk width and back to seat recline. All these supports are designed to ensure an optimal fit for each individual user, providing comfort and the best alignment of the body.

A quick-release interface plate allows the Madiba2Go seat to be easily changed between mobility base frames, presenting a range of different mobility options to meet the child’s needs.

The Madiba2Go Seat comes with a range of seat accessory and mobility base options.

Seat Features

The Madiba2Go modular seating system can be fully adjusted in back height, seat length, trunk width and back to seat recline. All these features are designed to ensure an optimal fit for each individual user, providing comfort and the best alignment of the body.

Rigid Full Body Posture Support

The Madiba2Go modular seating system can be fully adjusted in back height, seat length, trunk width and back to seat recline. All these features are designed to ensure an optimal fit for each individual user, providing comfort and the best alignment of the body.

Pelvic Side Support

Rigid supports on either side of the seat can be customised with foam inserts, to provide firm pelvis side support and / or to accommodate pelvic deviations. This support crucially helps in establishing overall alignment of the user.

Trunk Side Supports

Trunk support is very important to help prevent curvature of the spine. These rigid trunk supports individually adjustable in both width and height provide optimal trunk positioning, reducing the risk of developing postural deviations.

Pressure Care Seat Cushion

Our buggies are fitted with an adaptable, thick positioning pressure care seat cushion with integrated abduction block. A waterproof cover protects a stable chip foam base and thick high-density foam layer that offer comfort, postural support and skin protection.

Back Cushion

A specially designed expandable back cushion cover can stretch from containing the standard flat back cushion up to large custom foam support build-ups to accommodate more complex spinal deviations.

Padded Pelvic Strap

An adjustable padded pelvic strap is fitted as standard, helping maintain stability of the pelvis, the correct positioning of the user and preventing shear forces, a common cause of pressure sores amongst wheelchair users.

Adjustable tilt in space

Tilt-in-space adjustment is fitted as standard with each mobility base option.

It helps both for positioning and pressure relief.

Accessory Options

Mitt Headrest

The gently angled side extensions of our innovative Mitt headrest provide proprioceptive feedback to the sides of the child’s face, and encourage children to independently realign the position of their head and thereby improve their neck control.

Madiba2Go Headrest

This optional footbox hanger provides a positive 20° of angle off the vertical. Perfect for users with fixed knee contractures.

Padded Chest Strap
